Since well before we opened our doors, it was clear that many brewers evolve their equipment as their proficiency and technique evolves. Some move from extract to all-grain quickly, some more slowly, some never do infusion and are strictly BIAB brewers. In any case, the gear you have today may not be the gear you need tomorrow.
Online sale forums are great, cheap, and easy, but they also can be a bit of a hassle. You need to deal with the punters who do more looking than buying, you need to make time to show your gear, which means in many cases people you don't know coming to your home. But hey, if this works for you, than read no further...
On the other hand, if like many, you just want to simplify the process, consider letting us resell your used gear for you. The process is really simple; round up your used gear, figure out a price for each item, bring it in to us, and we will do the rest. We will show it to clients both in-store and online, during normal business hours, collect payment, and email you your money. Each posting will show the date the item was posted, so you can see how long it takes for things to sell. Since you set the price, you can raise or lower it, as you see fit. If you change your mind and find a buyer yourself, just let us know and we will take it out of inventory. There is no fee for trying.
Our fee structure is low, never more than 5% of the net sale price, and you only pay us when the item sells. We do charge taxes on all sales, so we retain the tax portion for remittance to the government, but most of the money comes back to you.
Our first step in launching this program is to accumulate a small inventory of used equipment to feature on day one. If you are interested in adding your used gear to the list, round it up and get it in here. We will record what you bring and give you a printed receipt for all items. Once we have enough items to launch with, we will publish everything online. Depending on how quickly we get goods in here will determine if can launch this in 2 weeks or a month, or longer.
Finally, spread the word. The more people know about this service, the more your equipment will be exposed and the sooner it will find a new home.
